Runher

“Running has always been an act of resistance for women (...) Runher is a part of that resistance. We were born from the persistent gender gap in sports media coverage, and our mission is to amplify the voices of women, trans, and nonbinary runners — communities that have been historically marginalized within sports and far beyond it.” — Ashley Mateo

Every issue of Runher celebrates the spirit of running from the crucial and so often missing perspective of female and nonbinary athletes. The magazines delve into everything that a modern runner must contend with, from the psychological to the physical. Runher is able to shed light on the grueling truths of what it takes to thrive in a male dominated environment while at the same time celebrating the people and idea that remind us why we run in the first place.

The covers of Runher are thick and sturdy, printed on 14pt, coated one side folding board. Each issue displays a cover photo that has a flood gloss UV coating applied over top to give it a crisp sheen and bring the featured runner to life. The inside pages are on a 60lb uncoated paper, which allows the 130-page count to feel approachable.
