Client Profile: Eric Buterbaugh's Naughty Notes and More
Sep 30, 2015
Eric Buterbaugh is close to our hearts: the floral designer and perfumer is a creative whiz, a design-focused ephemera enthusiast, and has a lightning wit to boot. Case in point? He wrote us a frame worthy note (on freshly embossed Eric Buterbaugh Florals stationery, naturally) that would make your mother blush. It's no wonder he describes his latest Paper Chase projects for his new West Hollywood store as "naughty, luxurious and sumptuous." We don't disagree.
What is your latest Paper Chase project? Visual identity elements inspired by our company crest: packaging, stationery, perfume tags and labels, and business cards.
Why do you use Paper Chase? The personal relationships.
What is the best professional lesson you’ve ever learned? Trust my partners.
Because of my experience doing floral design, I tend to pay more attention than most people do to colors, shapes and proportions.
What’s the life philosophy you live by? Full steam ahead!
How does one tap into their creative side? By letting go.
What is branding? Structure.
EB Florals custom packaging includes branded tissue paper and converted Stardream envelopes.
Each bottle of perfume includes custom foil stamped hang tags.

An elegant embossed logo makes for exquisite finishing on the notecards.
Different cards for different correspondences; notecards and buckslips with embossed and engraved details.
Darling darling, send me a note!
